To study agency in a naturalistic setting, we developed the choose-your-own-adventure (CYOA) paradigm that has a story presented one to three sentences at a time (for comfortable pace to take in) until a choice point a met. Options of actions are listed in buttons to be selected and the story will unravel accordingly.
